Algebra Camp — Summer 2020
August 3-7 from 8-11:30 am
Intermediate High School
Are you interested in preparing for a great year of challenges and problem solving in Algebra I next year? Algebra Camp is a one-week intensive preview of the skills and concepts necessary for a great start in Algebra.
Activities will focus on reinforcing Pre-Algebra concepts while we introduce fundamental Algebra concepts from Chapters 1 to 5 of the Algebra I textbook. Students will be working with multi-step equations, functions and linear relationships – all concepts that we will study during the fall semester of Algebra I. No homework, no tests, no grades! Come meet new friends, increase your confidence, and have a great time doing math. Just four lessons per day combined with activities, prizes, and snacks!!!
Algebra Camp will be August 3th – 7th, Monday through Friday, from 8 – 11:30 am. Class size ranges from a minimum of 20 students to a maximum of 25 students. If needed due to high enrollment, a second session will be held during the afternoon from 12:30 – 4:00 pm.
Algebra Camp is designed for students who will be taking Algebra I during the 2020-21 school year. The cost for Algebra Camp is $50 per student and will include supplies, prizes and snacks. Checks should be made out to the Butler Area School District. Please place your registration form and check in an envelope marked “Mrs. Bodamer/Algebra Camp” and return it to either the Intermediate High School office, Mrs. Bodamer in Room 204 or mail the envelope to the school at:
