IHS Club List

The 6th grade Art Club will meet two times a month in room 128.  We will take a maximum of 25 students.  Art Club will create monthly projects, and some of them will be displayed on the walls of the IHS.  Club members will express themselves artistically through sketching, drawing, painting, and crafting.  To join, email Mrs. Meskel.

(Formerly Alphabet Soup Club) This is a student led club that will meet monthly and participate in a variety of activities that align with our mission.

Our mission is:

This new club is like Battle of the Books but with movies. You will have one month to watch a film (various genres, school-appropriate) that was voted on by the club. At the end of the month, there will be a Kahoot to see who is the expert on the chosen film. You will get points each month (and a small prize) to see who is the ultimate winner at the end of the year. Watch a movie every month and go toe to toe against others in trivia.  Students should sign up via the Google Form Sign-Up.

Helping Hands Club focused on promoting school wide activities, teacher/staff appreciation and small community service projects. Some examples of activities: collecting donations for local animal shelters, collecting donations for a building care closet, promoting Children’s Grief Awareness Day, Kindness Month, Holiday/Cultural Door Decorating, making arts/crafts for teacher appreciation, etc. We would meet twice a month depending on students' interest/availability due to other club commitments.

Leadership Club exists to motivate young people to be better citizens. The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an organization that recognizes not only academic achievement but other characteristics essential to citizens in a democracy. At Butler Area Intermediate High School any 7th-grade student can become eligible for membership into the Honor Society that maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher. Students are expected to complete community service hours, be active volunteers at Butler Area Intermediate High School, maintain scholastic eligibility, and uphold principles of morality and ethics.

Welcome to the Radio Control club! Our mission is to introduce kids into the exciting world of R.C planes, cars, boats and more. Through hands on activities and interactive lessons, we'll explore how these work. From the ways of aerodynamics to the mechanisms of motors and gears. To learn the ways of how radio signals work and the spin of the motors. The main mission of this club is to bring kids together with fun activities and expand the hobby!

The world language club is designed for 7th and 8th grade students who wish to further explore the cultures and languages of the world languages offered at the IHS. Students do not have to be enrolled in a world language class to participate. Activities include language Olympics, trivia, cultural games and more.
