This club meets after school (September to November).  It is intended for  grades 6,7,8 interested in acting/singing/dancing in a junior musical production for a live audience.   This club is also intended for students interested in various crew jobs that will be needed October-November.

This new club is like Battle of the Books but with movies. You will have one month to watch a film (various genres, school-appropriate) that was voted on by the club. At the end of the month, there will be a Kahoot to see who is the expert on the chosen film. You will get points each month (and a small prize) to see who is the ultimate winner at the end of the year. Watch a movie every month and go toe to toe against others in trivia.  Students should sign up via the Google Form Sign-Up.

Helping Hands Club focused on promoting school wide activities, teacher/staff appreciation and small community service projects. Some examples of activities: collecting donations for local animal shelters, collecting donations for a building care closet, promoting Children’s Grief Awareness Day, Kindness Month, Holiday/Cultural Door Decorating, making arts/crafts for teacher appreciation, etc. We would meet twice a month depending on students' interest/availability due to other club commitments.

The Junior Leaders Club at Butler IHS is a character and leadership development program organized for the purpose of providing knowledge, training, and experiences that enable students to become strong leaders in their communities.

Students who participate in the program can expect to build leadership skills, get involved in the community, improve confidence, resiliency, and interpersonal skills, and assist in planning and coordinating club events.

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an organization that recognizes not only academic achievement but other characteristics essential to citizens in a democracy. At Butler Area Intermediate High School any 7th-grade student can become eligible for membership into the Honor Society that maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher. Students are expected to complete community service hours, be active volunteers at Butler Area Intermediate High School, maintain scholastic eligibility, and uphold principles of morality and ethics.

Welcome to our BIHS Recycling Club, where students come together to make a positive impact on the environment while learning about the importance of recycling. One of our primary initiatives involves weekly collections of paper recyclables from classrooms, promoting responsible disposal and encouraging a culture of recycling throughout our school. By actively participating in these efforts, students not only contribute to the preservation of our environment but also develop a sense of ownership and responsibility for their actions. This is for anyone that needs a "break" from the everyday stress and responsibilities of school/daily life. Social skills, problem solving, and fun activities can be incorporated to alleviate stress and/or give a way to cope with something that may be bothering students. This club gives the opportunity for students to socialize and develop relationships with peers that they may not have the opportunity to otherwise. It also gives students an opportunity to discuss stressors and learn skills to cope with stress and/or problems. The "meetings" include discussions, games, journaling, and other stress relieving activities.

The world language club is designed for 7th and 8th grade students who wish to further explore the cultures and languages of the world languages offered at the IHS. Students do not have to be enrolled in a world language class to participate. Activities include language Olympics, trivia, cultural games and more.
